I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
